The overall best drive-thru
operation was determined by a composite
score, which took into account each
restaurant chain’s final ranking in each of
the four categories. Because of the relative
importance of speed and accuracy to the
consumer, rankings in each of these two
primary categories were each weighted as 40%
of the final score, while menuboard
appearance and speaker clarity each made up
10% of the final score.
25 points were awarded for a
first place ranking in each category. 24
points were awarded for a second place
ranking, 23 points for third place, etc. One
point was awarded to the chain ranked 25th
or last in each category. 40% of the points
given for speed and accuracy are used to
compile the final score. 10% of the points
awarded for menuboard and speaker are
likewise used to compile final scores. |
